"I have seen the darkness,
Of humanity,
I have seen a man's legs blown off,
By a tank,
I have seen the cold fire in the eyes,
Of a man set to kill another.
I have seen the abuses of the weak,
By the strong.
I have seen the darkness,
Of humanity,
And I still believe in you.
So believe in yourselves,
And each other."

The Horizon
The funny thing about facing the horizon is it’s impossible to know what lies beyond. Yet even though we all look at the same horizon we all react so differently to the thought of what lies beyond.
Some see hope,
Some adventure,
Some endings,
Some fear,
And many anxiety.
No matter how you face the horizon; tomorrow comes no matter what.
Home is Just a Word
The world ended, I was left alone, but you called me. When I heard your voice through the mist. I knew, there was still hope. So I leave this broken world behind…Home is just a word.
Introspection
You never thought much,
About how you think,
You don’t really know,
Who you are,
So it’s hard to say,
If you understand,
Why you hurt them.
So when you deny,
That you did anything wrong,
And I roll my eyes,
The truth is simple.
You never thought this through.
And so you’re left to wonder,
Why everyone is looking at you,
Like the soulless monster,
You’ve become.
You say you want understanding,
But look in the mirror,
The only person who doesn’t understand,
Is you.
It was never going to be easy.
It was never going to be easy,
I don’t know how,
You convinced yourself it would.
What grand delusion?
What strange drug?
Made you live in the world where this would be easy.
Oh sorry–I didn’t see you there,
I was just talking to myself in the mirror.
The Aeon Sea
I am adrift on the Aeon sea, this place that connects all reality. This place that makes the worlds serve it’s call. The ocean is made of rainbow light–or is it water? It’s so hard to tell. When I throw a stone into the water it is sucked in as though the water is made of tar. I have no hope of swimming or even rowing. So adrift I will be.
My craft is a dead bit of land that somehow floats on the sea. Set adrift by the end of our current–or former reality. And so I’m left to ponder how long I will last. Alone, alive, and adrift on the never ending Aeon Sea.
“I’ve seen you in a dream”
“I’ve seen you in a dream,”
She said to me,
Eyes full of starlight.
“So I knew we would meet.”
But she always was a dreamer,
After all,
I doubt she knows who I really am.
More than a dream,
Then a thought,
Then a feeling in some girls mind.
But to the girl with starlight in her eyes,
I will always be a dream,
Nothing more….
